Ronda Rousey made a surprise debut at the ROH wrestling promotion on November 23rd at KIA Forum in Inglewood, CA. She teamed up with Marina Shafir to take on Athena, formerly known as Ember Moon in WWE and Billie Starkz. While the match was taken over by the aura of the “Baddest Woman on the Planet,” a WWE superstar took special note of Athena’s performance on social media.

Athena impresses WWE superstar by sheer display of strength

Former WWE Women’s Champion Lina Fanene aka Nia Jax, took to X on November 24th to post a clip of Athena’s performance and praise her with the caption “😍🙌🏽”. Nia Jax was praising Athena for her display of strength as she lifted two superstars at a time. The clip attached was from the tapings of the show and was originally posted by a fan.

In the video, Athena can be seen delivering a throw to Ronda Rousey at the ringside while Marina Shafir is hanging on the back of Athena. It was a display of extreme power, something for which she was popular during her NXT and WWE days. Athena was released by WWE in 2021.
