“Could Have Torn the House Down”- WWE Legend Calls Out Kenny Omega for Never-Before-Seen Dream Match

The wrestling world is abuzz with anticipation as the AEW All In draws near. This historic event is on the horizon, igniting excitement and discussions about potential dream matches that could unfold in the ring. Amidst this intensity, one voice that has often echoed with excellence. But, perhaps not gaining the spotlight it deserves is that of Kenny Omega.

As fans eagerly await the unfolding of dream scenarios, there’s a former WWE Champion whose comments have quietly slipped by, evoking curiosity among those in the know.

WWE legend talks about Kenny Omega dream match

Former WWE Champion and now part of AEW, Paul Wight (formerly known as Big Show), has transitioned his role to analyst and commentator since joining All Elite Wrestling in early 2021. Although he hasn’t stepped into the ring for a match since March of the previous year, Wight’s wrestling dreams are alive and well. 

During a conversation with DAZN Wrestling, he was asked to name the headliner for the upcoming AEW All-In pay-per-view. Amid a sea of potential dream match-ups, Wight took an unexpected turn by suggesting himself in a showdown against former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. 

“I’m going to be super greedy and I’d pick myself and I would fight Kenny Omega,” he revealed. Explaining his choice, Wight expressed admiration for Omega’s intensity, believing that a match between them could have set the stage on fire. 

He also added, “Kenny Omega is one guy in AEW that I think is just another talent that I would love to work with because of his intensity. I think Kenny and I could have torn the house down.”

While Omega is on the All-In lineup, his match isn’t against Wight. Instead, he’s scheduled to join forces with Kota Ibushi and “Hangman” Adam Page. The trio will take on Konosuke Takeshita, Juice Robinson, and Jay White.

Exploring other wrestling possibilities

Yet, the list doesn’t stop there. Wight also expressed his keen interest in sharing the ring with AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy. Even fellow towering wrestler Satnam Singh caught Wight’s attention. Despite describing Singh as “a little green,” Wight conveyed his enthusiasm for teaming up with the seven-foot-two star in the ring.

The AEW landscape continues to evolve. Paul Wight’s aspirations and potential match-ups bring an added layer of excitement to the ever-evolving wrestling universe.
