Hollywood insider Jeffery Sneider appeared in a podcast episode and discussed The Smashing Machine, which will be based on the life of MMA fighter Mark Kerr. Sneider only had good things to say about the upcoming sports and drama film as he believes it can even get Johnson an Oscar nomination.

Actor and industry insider Jeff Sneider recently sat down with John Rocha on his podcast. While shedding some light on The Smashing Machine, Sneider confessed that he believes it is going to be a big step in Johnson’s Hollywood career.
Sneider said, “I think congratulations to Dwayne for finally seeing the like and realizing this is what you should have been doing all along long. Something like this. This could get [The] Rock an Oscar nomination. Who knows?”
The reason behind his thought process could be that he likes “The Rock” switching genre for a change. He perhaps also thinks that the WWE legend can do justice to the role of the MMA veteran.
