Roman Reigns is undoubtedly one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time. Don’t believe it? His historic 1000-day reign as the Undefeated and Undisputed WWE Universal champion is surely evidence of that. But the Tribal Chief’s run saw his appearances diminish more and more leaving a void to fill. What was the solution? The introduction of a brand new world championship.

Moreover, a legendary tag team wrestler decided to dissect the modernized version of the “Big Gold Belt” piece by piece in comparison to Roman titles.

WWE CCO Triple H introduced the World Heavyweight Championship a few weeks ago on RAW. The Game introduced it as a counterpart to Roman Reigns’ championships. Moreover, it also brought a chance to give the fans a “fighting champion”, unlike Reigns whose limited schedule deprived them of that.

The revelation of the title thrilled fans.  They immediately could see the resemblance to the highly popular and historic Big Gold Belt. Furthermore, the title itself was made using a lot of pieces of history. Apart from WWE, tag team legend Bubba Ray Dudley decided to break down the championship himself.

When asked how the title differed from Roman Reigns’ gold, Bubba pointed out the important aspects that made the title. The belt included some aspects synonymous with legendary superstars like ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan. Bubba spoke about this during the latest edition of the Busted Open podcast.

“It’s got the three lions’ heads on it to represent you know the family … and then it’s got the family’s crest and then it’s got a little Bruno thrown in there, a lil Hulk Hogan thrown in there and it’s got some flowery things and some fluid leaves … it doesn’t.”

Bubba rightly stated when he mentioned so many historical facts going into the making of the World Heavyweight Championship.

Will the first-ever champion be anything like Roman Reigns?

The WWE Universe witnessed the crowning of the World Heavyweight Champion last weekend at WWE Night of Champions. After a hard-fought battle, it was the Drip God Seth Rollins who knocked off AJ Styles to become the inaugural champion. Rollins had already stated that he appreciated Roman Reigns, but would make the world forget about his title reign.

Moreover, there were the same concerns with Rollins being the champion. This came after he became a part of the cast of Captain America: New World Order. But it has been reported that his movie commitments would not come in the way of his run as the leader of RAW. So it can be arguably said that Seth Rollins would not be like his former Shield brother.

However, there are opinions of everyone. So which side do you pick? Rollins, the fighting champion, or Rollins, the same “Roman-ish” champion? What do you make of Dudley’s claims?
