“Comeback Szn”: Bayley’s Former Partner Teases WWE Return Days After Being Spotted Without Brace on Raw

Get ready to rumble! There is possible good news for Damage CTRL fans. A former partner of Bayley is dropping hints about a WWE return. It’s just days after she was seen without her brace on Raw. Many are eagerly anticipating her return to SmackDown after Royal Rumble. Especially since she was absent during the event when three members of Damage CTRL betrayed Bayley. 

An encouraging injury update posted by Dakota Kai, a founding member of the Damage CTRL group, on Instagram, has led to rumors of an impending return to the ring for Kai.

Bayley’s former partner hints at a potential comeback

While competing with Bayley for the Women’s Tag Team Titles in May 2023, Dakota Kai tore her anterior cruciate ligament. The same fight also left Liv Morgan with a hurt shoulder.

Fans have been wondering whether Kai is planning a return when she appeared on RAW recently sans her knee brace. She took to Instagram to hint at her impending return, stating that it’s returning season.

She wrote, “Comeback szn⏳(Not cleared yet.. soon 🫶🏽)” This further indicated she would soon be cleared and make her in-ring appearance. 

In the video, one can see Kai in her wrestling gear. She is also seen getting her hair fixed and standing in front of the digital XL stage shooting something. All these could allude to the fact that she is preparing to make her return soon. Whether it comes in the immediate future or fans have to wait for WrestleMania for the culmination of Damage CTRL angle is something fans have to wait and see.

As the leader of the villainous group formed in 2022 with IYO SKY and Kai, Bayley’s Royal Rumble win this year led to a fallout among the faction members. If Kai returns, the future of the Damage CTRL member remains uncertain, especially after the faction betrayed Bayley. Recently, Kai played up her part and potentially hinted to her alliance after she reacted to the moment her teammates betrayed Bayley.

Dakota Kai is heartbroken after Bayley gets betrayed

Dakota Kai took to social media not long ago. She took to respond to the betrayal of Bayley by The Kabuki Warriors and IYO SKY on WWE SmackDown. Bayley was supposed to pick her opponent for WrestleMania 40 on the blue brand after winning this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble Match. 

But Bayley saw her friends making derogatory comments backstage and revealed them in the ring, which led to an altercation. She finally settled on The Genius of the Sky to face at WrestleMania 40. 

Even though she didn’t see the betrayal happen, Dakota Kai took to Twitter after the program to share her surprise and grief.
