WWE Superstars are clashing with each other on the Road to WrestleMania XL. The WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, however, has everything served revolve around him and his title. With WM40, The Tribal Chief will make another mania appearance and defend his title, something which has become an annual ritual flanked by his cousins.

This year, however, things aren’t looking a hundred percent in his favor. While he will still have his lackeys behind him like every other PLE, the chances of him losing out are very significant this time. Especially when his opponent this time will have backup of his own. Here are two primary reasons why Roman Reigns will see an end to his historic reign.

The gigantic momentum carried by Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes is currently enjoying the support of the entire WWE Universe. The American Nightmare is over with the crowd and has rightfully earned a WrestleMania main event spot for the second consecutive time. Moreover, a Royal Rumble win over both CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has given him even more support.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns looked visibly distressed when Rhodes won the Rumble. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is also in the corner of The American Nightmare this time around.

On top of it, he may also have a wild card ally in The Viper Randy Orton. Thus, the absentee champion Roman Reigns may not get away with the numbers game this time. The crowd support for Rhodes is at an all-time high right now, and Triple H may choose to finally choose to complete his story, as he promised last year.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has united forces with The Bloodline, which can be a source of relief for Roman Reigns. But, is The Rock really somebody he can trust? Or will the newest TKO Board Member become the latest challenger to the Head of the Table?

Why Roman Reigns should see The Rock as a threat?

The Bloodline looks to be at its strongest right now with the addition of Dwayne Johnson. However, this was a rather unexpected development. Especially considering that The Brahma Bull wanted to replace Cody Rhodes for the WWE title match at WrestleMania XL.

Notably, The Rock never stepped aside for the title match on his own. It was actually Triple H who exerted his authority to make him back off. Hence, it isn’t safe to assume that the new all-powerful TKO board member has abandoned his desire for the top gold. Most importantly, The Rock already had a grand vision for facing Roman Reigns.

Dwayne Johnson has shown that he was looking to bring a high-stakes match against Roman Reigns to life several years ago. The most electrifying man in WWE was just waiting for the right time to cash the match in when the time was the most opportune. It seems that finally, The Rock has come back to his perfect plan to share the biggest stage of them all with his cousin.
