The last few weeks have been quite tumultuous at the start of the road to WrestleMania 40, with an alteration in the plans for the main event of this event, going from a Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes to a The Rock vs. Roman Reigns and, after the Las Vegas event, we return to the original plan, with the possibility that The American Nightmare could finish his story.
However, Bully Ray believes that it would be a bad idea for Cody Rhodes and the WWE to finish his story at WrestleMania 40. But why? Well, let’s find out the reason why he suggested WWE drop the idea.
Winning at WrestleMania 40 won’t actually finish the story

WrestleMania 40 takes place on April 6th and 7th at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. If Cody Rhodes managed to defeat Roman Reigns there then he would finish his story, right? Well, not according to Bully Ray. According to him, it should be the Madison Square Garden, NY. Since, that’s where Dusty Rhodes defeated Billy Graham via count-out. But could not claim the belt due to the rule that a count-out win does not mean a change in titles.
He said, “I still stand firm on my suggestion and my opinion of Cody’s story needs to end where Dusty’s started. MSG to me is the absolute best idea. The best place for this story to end. I get it, it’s WrestleMania, ‘the Showcase of the Immortals’. The showcase of the immortals did not exist when Dusty Rhodes held that championship in the air for three seconds. The full circle story for Cody is MSG. Where the ghost of Dusty Rhodes will be in Cody’s Corner.”
However, before worrying about the title, Cody Rhodes has something else to worry about. And that is a bout with the Brahma Bull. While Cody Rhodes looks set to face Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 40, he still has a hurdle in the form of The Rock. The two have been at odds since Rock returned, and briefly took Rhodes’ shot at Reigns, and many believe the two could find themselves facing off on Night One of WrestleMania, with Rock and Reigns teaming up to face Rhodes and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins.
Bully Ray’s tip for Cody Rhodes

If Rhodes and Rock clash, Bully Ray has some tips on how Rhodes should handle it. That advice, which Bully gave on Tuesday’s episode of ‘Busted Open Radio,’ would be to avoid a promo battle with Rock, which Bully believes could get Rhodes booed.
“The last thing Cody should do is try to match Rock on the mic. It’s not happening. Rocky will absolutely destroy Cody on the mic. That’s not because Cody’s not good on the mic, it’s that it’s The Rock, and he’s superior. Only John Cena was able to handle The Rock on the stick, maybe Punk a little bit. You’re talking about the top…percent of guys on the microphone.”

Instead, Bully Ray believes that Rhodes should be honest and state that while he accepts he cannot beat him on the microphone, he can beat the Hollywood icon physically and pin him. And the result, in his words would be, “Those people will go ballistic for Cody because Cody’s being honest.” What do you think? Would this tactic work? Let us know in the comments.
