After sustaining a broken arm during his Night of Champions match, Cody Rhodes fell victim to another probable injury. It’s not new watching The American Nightmare performing inside the ring while recovering from an injury. In fact, Rhodes is so used to it that he casually dropped a health update about himself that may or may not be serious.

This happened after the Money in the Bank event of WWE came to a close. During the press conference for the PLE, Rhodes was the first one to show up. And in the conference video that WWE publicly dropped following the event, Rhodes opened up by telling reporters about his health.

Rhodes gave Dominik Mysterio a taste of defeat after pinning him at the end of their match. However, it appears Mysterio wasn’t playing around in the match either. Despite losing, looks like he gave Rhodes a gift to remember him by. In the press conference following the PLE, Rhodes revealed he is enduring back pain as he speaks.

Since he didn’t reveal anything about having it before the match, we could assume that the 38-year-old wrestler got it after his match.

I was just telling Bayley backstage my back was not feeling great, so I was afraid I was gonna sit down like Stanley in ‘The Office’, super old man, and you guys wouldn’t know something,” said Rhodes while referencing the popular American sitcom ‘The Office’.

Although Rhodes appears fine until now, some of his fans must be scared given the history of a major injury he endured last year.

However, fans should also note that the former AEW star is no stranger to performing with an injured body. The most recent example of this occurred only a month ago.

The prime example of Rhodes taking his injuries lightly was when he tore his pectoral muscles during a match with Seth Rollins in 2022. This happened right after he had returned to WWE, and the wrestler didn’t wanna give up the match. Rhodes endured the pain and ended up completing the match, defeating Rollins in a heroic victory. Although he had to take a recovery break after that, Rhodes was far from over in his battle against injuries.

Rhodes’ match with Brock Lesnar reintroduced him to another blockade in his career as his arm got broken. However, this didn’t stop him from wrestling, even with one arm broken.

So far, Rhodes’ back pain doesn’t look too harmful. However, even if by any means it turns out to be something big, do you think he would need some rest? Or do you believe Rhodes will wrestle his way through?
