The unexpected passing of Bray Wyatt has left the entire wrestling industry shaken. This week, WWE lost two of its prized assets. While Wyatt died young at 36, WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk passed away a day before Wyatt at 79 years old. In traditional fashion, WWE organized a tribute show for both the deceased wrestling legends.
Cody Rhodes was seen among the various wrestling personalities gathered for the tribute during the start of the show. However, it appears that Rhodes changed his plans at the last minute due to the unfortunate passing of the two icons.

Taking to Twitter, Cody Rhodes relayed that he was not going to make it to a scheduled autograph signing session and apologized to the fans. It is worth noting that Rhodes is a Raw Superstar and was not scheduled to be on SmackDown.
He wrote, “With apologies to those looking forward to my @FitermanSports signing today, I am rescheduling my appearance for tomorrow morning (8/26) at 10 am.”
Nonetheless, the WWE Universe appreciated Rhodes’ gesture to prioritize being on SmackDown. Here are a few reactions:
