Cody Rhodes left the WWE in 2016 due to frustrations with the creative department. He then worked really hard on the independent circuit. Then in 2018 he along with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega created ‘All In’, an independent pro wrestling PPV that had more than 10,000 people in attendance.

That in 2019 eventually gave rise to WWE’s biggest competition right now, AEW. There Cody Rhodes served as an Executive Vice President and also a wrestler. But he left the promotion in 2022 citing a personal issue. While there were multiple rumors floating around about why the couple left AEW, his wife Brandi Rhodes cleared out a couple of them recently.

Post that he joined the WWE for a second time to fulfill his lifelong dream, of winning the WWE Championship. That dream has pumped him up so much that in the process he went 2-1 up against ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar during their feud. He even gained Lesnar’s respect at SummerSlam which is a rare occurrence on camera.

But right now he has achieved a feat so rare that he even left behind Roman Reigns. So ever since Rhodes made his comeback in 2022, he has won 96% of his matches which is immensely commendable.

Roman Reigns in 2023 alone has won just 66.67% of his matches, thus making Rhodes the clear winner at least here.

Cody Rhodes is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the WWE. And that’s quite evident from the fact that he has lost just three matches since his return.

His first loss is what Rhodes fans definitely want to forget. He lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 due to Solo Sikoa’s interference. Then the second loss was during a triple threat match against Finn Bálor and The Miz for the World Heavyweight Title Tournament. Brock Lesnar interfered and that cost The American Nightmare that match.
