Cody Rhodes Brutally Roasted by Promising WWE Superstar Ahead of Elimination Chamber 2024

Cody Rhodes‘ might have millions on his side advocating for him to finish his story at WrestleMania 40, but there are still some figures in the locker room who hold his emotional storyline in disdain. And the prime among them is none other than Grayson Waller. From his flight to Perth, Australia, the 33-year-old SmackDown star issued a savage dig aimed at the American Nightmare.

The American Nightmare won’t perform in the Elimination Chamber this week, but he’ll be present and will sit at the hot seat of the infamous Grayson Waller effect alongside Seth Rollins. And from Waller’s latest tweet, we can rest assured some intense abuse is looming.

Grayson Waller downplayed Cody Rhodes’ ultimate motive in WWE with a hilarious comparison

Cody Rhodes’ finishing his story has been a recurrent theme in the WWE realm ever since his comeback to the promotion. At WrestleMania 39, Rhodes broke the hearts of fans by coming up short in a career-deciding main event against the Tribal Chief. But his mission didn’t stop there. Rather, the former AEW star picked himself up and gave it his best shot. He won the Royal Rumble in his second consecutive year to gain another shot at completing his story. This extreme back-and-forth regarding the storyline didn’t sit well with Waller. He made a monkey of the fact that Rhodes still couldn’t finish his story. In a derogatory tweet, the Aussie star wrote, ‘Halfway to Perth and already finished my book. At least someone in WWE can finish a story ‘

However, this is not the first time that Waller has delivered a blow to the American Nightmare and his foe-turned-ally Seth Rollins.

Along with the WWE fans, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has also endorsed Cody Rhodes’ efforts. Moreover, the chances are high that we can see more of such support in the buildup to WrestleMania.

But Waller didn’t seem convinced about their alliances and poked fun at it, referring to their past feud. For the uninitiated, the former AEW star engaged in a fiery rivalry with Seth Rollins upon his comeback to the WWE.

Their rivalry culminated in an intense Hell in a Cell affair where Cody Rhodes emerged victorious in the match.
