Cody Rhodes Broke Silence on ‘Injustice’ WWE Has Done to Him Even Before WWE Draft Ruined His ‘Story’

April 2, 2023, over 500 million fans from around the world were watching WrestleMania 39. WWE Universe was set to witness the end of Roman Reigns’ historic championship reign. But nothing like this happened and Reigns successfully defended his title.

And just when Cody Rhodes was working on his revenge, the WWE draft came in the way. However, if you are wondering if Rhodes’ chapter is over, then it is not entirely true. In his recent announcement, Cody Rhodes is clearly indicating that he is not yet done with ‘The Tribal Chief’. 

Cody Rhodes intends on avenging the WrestleMania injustice

During a WWE live event in Belfast, Ireland, Cody Rhodes took the mic and spoke from his heart. He showed his clear intentions toward Roman Reigns. Rhodes said that he is keeping his eyes on the WWE daft and no matter where he ends up, he is intending to take revenge on Roman Reigns for the injustice that happened to him at WrestleMania 39.

Talking to the crowd, Cody Rhodes said, “Tonight, back in the United States is the WWE Draft. I could end up on Friday Night SmackDown, I can stay on Monday Night RAW. The way I look at it is this, what happened to me at WrestleMania in Hollywood is an injustice that I 100% intend on avenging. It doesn’t matter what brand I’m on, It doesn’t matter when it happens, I intend to finish the story……”

Even though Cody Rhodes has publicly declared his plans for Roman Reigns, he has to tackle a major issue before that.

Rhodes has a ‘Beast’ of a problem

Cody Rhodes was yet dealing with his WrestleMania defeat when WWE decided to indulge him in a feud with ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar.  During the Monday Night Raw after Mania, Rhodes and Lesnar were about to take on Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a tag team match.

However, Lesnar had other plans, and he attacked his partner instead.

This was quite shocking for fans as they were thinking that the rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns was not over yet. 

The hype around Rhodes dethroning Reigns was huge. And that’s the reason, fans found this Brock Lesnar angle a little out-of-place. However, things became somewhat clearer after Cody Rhodes’ recent words.

In the recent WWE draft, the ‘American Nightmare’ is drafted to Raw while ‘The Bloodline’ will work under the blue brand. But now when Rhodes has made a public declaration, it would be interesting to see how his unfinished story proceeds.
