The Judgment Day has talented members in its grasp. However, there’s one particular associate of the rowdy group that doesn’t get enough recognition. Here, we are talking about JD McDonagh, who has to do the heel faction’s bidding in order to get some recognition. Despite his hard work, McDonagh still hasn’t been given equal respect and status in the stable.
In spite of what the fans or The Judgment Day members think of the Irish wrestler, Cody Rhodes recently praised the role he plays for his team. Even though it looks like McDonagh doesn’t have much power, Rhodes believes the opposite to be true.

Those of you who need a peep into McDonagh’s current WWE story arc must note that he has been trying to get included in The Judgment Day for quite some time now. Although the faction considers him worthy enough to get their deeds done by him, they still haven’t included him on the team. While some claim this to be an inferior position, Rhodes thinks otherwise.
The American Nightmare recently appeared in the podcast Gabby AF. There, he talked with the host Gabby Laspisa on various topics. One of the interesting conversations included JD McDonagh’s role in The Judgment Day.
While the host believes McDonagh is at a disadvantage of not being recognized, Rhodes compared his position to that of a pro wrestling legend. The former AEW EVP said, “The [Fabulous] Freebirds had Buddy Roberts who was similar in his role in The Freebirds. But I’d say there’s a lot of power in that position.” He also went on to compare his own role in The Legacy alongside Randy Orton.
He added, “As somebody who was the guy who would go to Wawa to get Randy Orton a sandwich when I was in Legacy. As somebody who, when we were a part of the Bullet Club, there were those, I don’t know, ‘under bosses’ who would do some of the work for you. There’s a lot of power in that position.”
Even Rhodes himself has served a similar role as JD McDonagh. So, Rhodes might be trying to say that the ‘try-hard member’ of the heel stable might also get a push sometime soon.
When will JD McDonagh be accepted as a Judgment Day member?
Before Crown Jewel, we speculated two ways through which Rhea Ripley could have accepted the 33-year-old as her newest teammate. However, both of these opportunities went to waste. In fact, McDonagh even received a third opportunity as his match against Sami Zayn was revealed just a day or two before the PLE. Disappointingly for him, he lost via pinfall.

As far as we can see, the Irish talent is already trying his best to become a member. On the other hand, he is also not able to find his defining moment and get substantial recognition from Ripley’s gang.
However, if all goes well in the future, he might get a big push from the promotion, causing him to get over and induction into the ‘dream team’.
