WWE Network recently uploaded a video on their official YouTube channel titled CM Punk trains with NXT Superstars: Royal Rumble 2024 Vlog on January 27th. In the 10-minute video, CM Punk met several WWE superstars from the main roster and NXT brand at the performance center. The video is a part of the Royal Rumble vlog where Punk was seen interacting with the WWE talent which may hint at something bigger for some NXT stars.

NXT Superstars in awe of CM Punk after training with him

The NXT superstars seen in the ring with CM Punk were Bron Breakker, Lexis King, Trick Williams, and Carmelo Hayes. Among the four superstars, Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, and Carmelo Hayes have debuted in the main roster while Lexis King is fairly new to the WWE. He is currently in the NXT brand.

The superstars started warming up with some basic roll-ups and rope running before they tried some basic wrestling moves. Punk tried a headlock on Breakker, a judo throw on Trick Williams, and a turnbuckle throw by Carmelo Hayes. After the session, Punk shared a few valuable tips with the young superstars who were excited to share the ring with the wrestling legend.

Trick Williams said, “He’s definitely punching man. Like he ain’t missing a step, man. I’m glad he is back and we learned a lot today man and it was a privilege working with a great like that.” His friend, Carmelo Hayes recalled his training with Cody Rhodes from 2023 and said, “It’s cool to work with Punk, preparing for the Royal Rumble.

Royal Rumble vlog confirms participation of four new superstars

The video confirms Punk’s participation in the Rumble who is also being considered by many wrestling pundits and betting houses as the top contender to win the Rumble. He said, “Sorry to be just coming off the street, I think we’d be ready for the Royal Rumble. To me, this is about being Rumble-ready.” As per Punk’s statement earlier, he will be looking forward to challenging Seth Rollins for the WWE World title at WrestleMania.

The video also confirms that the NXT superstars featured will also be a part of the Royal Rumble. Though the other three superstars have debuted on the main roster, Lexis King is relatively new to the WWE system.
