Fans didn’t expect the Second City Saint to come back to WWE given the beef between the two and Punk’s recent antics in AEW. But matters were settled backstage as Punk has continued to show a different side of his personality to WWE fans.

CM announces his arrival on SmackDown

WWE fans were treated with love by CM Punk as WWE arrived at Providence, Rhodes Island for the SmackDown show on 8th December. He posted a clip as a story on his Instagram account about the same. The clip shows Punk signing posters of himself in huge numbers with the in-video caption saying, “#SmackDown tonight”.

It was revealed earlier that CM Punk will remain with the red brand but he was still expected to show up at SmackDown last week. But Punk skipped through last week’s SmackDown and this week’s RAW. Now, Punk has officially confirmed that he’ll be featured on tonight’s SmackDown.
