WWE’s choice to reintroduce CM Punk to the promotion was a wise decision, as evidenced by the strong statistics. Ever since Punk’s return at Survivor Series, the promotion has been drawing in a lot of ratings and viewership.
Once again, the returned superstar brought in a record-breaking number when World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins confronted him on this week’s Monday Night Raw. It was an explosive promo that brought tons of views in a matter of 24 hours.

In addition, we should note that the in-ring promo involving Punk and Rollins was the most highly viewed segment during this week’s Raw, surpassing all other quarter-hours. Usually, the Flagship show records an average viewership and rating of 1.47M and 0.46 P18-49 rating, respectively.

Now we all know the animosity between Punk and ‘The Visionary’ and what happened when the former returned at Survivor Series last month. Rollins is also a Raw superstar, so he was not so happy about Punk coming to Raw. To vent out his frustrations, he went inside the ring and confronted the returned superstar.
Like in the past, he rambled about Punk leaving WWE for selfish reasons and coming back again for selfish reasons. Rollins is not a fan of ‘The Second City Saint’ as he believes he abandoned WWE 10 years ago. With tensions building between the two superstars, only time will tell what will happen next.
