Punk left the WWE in 2014 after having creative disputes with the management. Despite talking about it a couple of times, he never apologized about it.

He talked about how Randy Orton led to his injury, for which he was stripped of his title, and he had no choice but to leave. For the first time, Punk apologized to the fans for doing so.
