When Cody Rhodes intros his theme song, he says that wrestling has more than one royal family. However, recently, on social media, CM Punk made fun of the intro, at the expense of several WWE stars including Rhodes, as well as Khloé Kardashian. With Punk currently out of the picture very shortly after rejoining the WWE, he has started making more use of social media to hint at potential feuds and other goings-on in the company. On the surface, Cody Rhodes’ theme song pokes fun at WWE, especially the McMahon Family and Triple H, as well as his wrestling career, his family history, and other things. Early in the theme song, Cody Rhodes says, “Wrestling has more than one royal family.” Making reference to this, CM Punk posted three separate stories with pictures of Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and himself, and, finally, Khloé Kardashian. Over these, he slapped the words to Rhodes’ Kingdom intro, poking fun at the wrestlers as well as socialite.
The series of stories also seem to compliment the theme song itself, as it seems to be poking fun at Vince McMahon’s outing as well, with both the Anoa’i family and Rhodes seeming to take dominance in the promotion. Especially as the theme song was meant to be a clear attack on the McMahon family with that line.
