After almost four decades of wrestling, Sting’s career is finally coming to an end. Despite a career-threatening injury, the 64-year-old came back to the ring and joined Tony Khan’s promotion in 2021. Now, after an extended run of three years, the legend’s career is coming to an end at AEW Revolution.
Having shared the same workplace for some months, Punk was acquainted with Sting and even shared some moments with him. He shared a picture with him in the ring on his Instagram story as a tribute and wrote two words.
With the wholesome picture in the background, CM Punk wrote in his story, “Respect“. There was another spaciously placed word that read, “Grateful“.
With the help of these two words, “The Best in the World” was able to convey the message about what he feels for the wrestling legend after knowing him professionally. The majority of the fans watching Sting’s retirement match would also feel the two words, as several of them have grown up watching him wrestle.
Another WWE legend voiced his opinion about Sting recently, a few days before his final match in the wrestling industry.
