Charlotte Flair’s Upcoming Plans Seemingly Confirmed on WWE SmackDown Just Hours Before Payback

Charlotte Flair has seemingly picked her next target. The daughter of Ric ‘Nature Boy’ Flair has always been hungry for gold and once again is on the run to get it. After this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the fans saw her potentially forming an alliance with Shotzi to take on Iyo Sky and Bayley from the Damage CTRL.

This makes complete sense as Sky is the current WWE Women’s Champion and after removing her old nemesis from the picture, she can easily go for the title.

Charlotte Flair helps Shotzi to get a big win against Bayley

Just hours before Payback, the September 1 edition of the blue brand saw Bayley and Shotzi wrestling each other in a one-on-one match. During the bout, Sky and Dakota Kai were present at ringside to support their stablemate. This gave Bayley an upper hand during the match, as she could use her faction friends to distract her opponent.

However, despite the seeming advantage, ‘The Queen‘ ruined all plans for Bayley. During the ending segment of the bout, the fans saw Damage CTRL trying to distract Shotzi, but Flair came out ringside for the save.

This led to Bayley getting distracted, which ultimately helped Shotzi to pick up a big victory.

This move from Flair clearly hints that her next target is Damage CTRL, particularly Iyo Sky, who is currently holding the WWE Women’s Championship.

Iyo Sky might be Flair’s next target

Earlier this year in June, Flair returned from a hiatus and made her intentions pretty clear the moment she came back.

She had only one goal in mind and that was to acquire the WWE Women’s Championship, which was around Asuka‘s waist at that time. This led to Flair, Asuka, and Bianca Belair – who was already in the title picture – having a triple-threat match for the title at SummerSlam.

Belair was the victor that night, but Iyo Sky, who was holding the Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase, cashed it in at the opportune moment and went home with the belt.

The WWE Women’s Championship has changed shoulders, but Flair’s goal is the same. Since Iyo Sky is the champion, ‘The Queen‘ has made it very clear that she is her next target.

But for that, she needs to deal with other members of Damage CTRL first, which is why she might ally with Shotzi, who already has some unfinished business with Bayley.
