The debut of AEW Collision not only saw the return of CM Punk but also Andrade El Idolo. The Latino wrestler had been missing in action since AEW All Out due to a reported injury. In his return match, Andrade took a page out of his wife, Charlotte Flair’s book to pick up the win. Idolo then took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to The Queen.

Andrade El Idolo faced off against his former tag team partner, Buddy Matthews, in a fast-paced high-flying match. After a very physical match, Idolo added a little flair to the finish.

Charlotte Flair and Andrade El Idolo tied the knot in 2022. Although Idolo was once in WWE, he jumped ship to AEW in 2021 seemingly due to creative differences. Flair and Idolo may have different work schedules but they never miss a chance to show their love for each other publicly.

Taking to Twitter, Charlotte Flair congratulated Andrade El Idolo for his impressive performance in his return match. She also referred to Andrade as “Papi”, stealing the catchphrase of rival Rhea Ripley. The 14-time Women’s World Champion even called Idolo, “One of the best in the world”. Responding to his wife’s tweet, Idolo thanked her for being an incredible and supportive wife.

Furthermore, Idolo apologized for using Charlotte Flair’s Figure 8 to finish the match. He stated, “Thank you very much for being an incredible wife and for all your support and sorry for using your finish  but I wanted to dedicate figure 8 to you but you never told me that it was very difficult to do but it helps to win.”

During the closing moments of the match, Idolo first used the Figure 4 submission. However, he then switched to Figure 8 as Matthews tried to reach for the bottom rope, forcing the latter to submit. Figure 8 was of course a paying tribute to his wife.

Following the match, Idolo offered a handshake to Matthews but Malakai Black made his way to the ring and laid waste to Idolo. Black’s actions are certainly going to rekindle the duo’s feud from 2017 in NXT.

As for Charlotte Flair, after making her surprise return on SmackDown two weeks ago, Flair injected herself in a match against Asuka for the WWE Women’s Championship, much to Bianca Belair’s chagrin. The Queen is gearing up for her title match next week on Friday Night SmackDown. But, she can expect The EST to be present at the ringside.

Moreover, Charlotte made her return to WWE TV after losing her SmackDown Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39. And wasting little time, she went right after Asuka.

On the latest edition of SmackDown, Bianca Belair confronted Charlotte Flair and made a promise that she will be ringside watching the latter’s match with Asuka next week. Furthermore, regardless of who emerges victorious, Belair will “call her shot” next.
