Charlotte Flair‘s acting endeavor came to a sudden halt. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion was a promising actor. She, in fact, looked to rise to the level of some legendary wrestler-turned-actors like John Cena, The Rock, Batista, etc. She came very close to sealing the deal for a marvelous project with Intrinsic Value Films and Sumerian even amid the actors-writers unrest. But, unfortunately, she lost her shot. Adding to the misery, it came as a solid blow to WWE from a rival promotion.

The project in question is a film, ‘Queen of the Ring’, based on the life story of a female wrestler Mildred Burke. With that said, a supporting actor’s role initially belonged to Flair until an NWA product left her in dire straits.

WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes are bringing the production of many big-budget projects to a halt. However, ‘Queen of the Ring’ marked itself as safe from being a victim of this situation. The brainchild of writer/editor Ash Avildsen is currently under the production process in Louisville, Kentucky.

The protagonist of the movie features eminent actress Emily Bett Rickards. 14-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was to step into the shoes of June Byers, Burke’s arch-rival. However, according to the latest report, due to a packed-up practice schedule amid the SummerSlam challenge, The Queen had to drop the role.

Nonetheless, the production team swiftly moved on with a worthy replacement in the form of NWA Women’s Champion Kamille, who looks more than ready to take on the challenge. Another popular WWE face, Liv Morgan, also had to give up on her pre-decided role in the movie.

Liv Morgan also underwent a replacement for another role in the same movie

Liv Morgan was set to portray Clara Mortenson, another remarkable peer of Burke, in the same movie. But destiny played the same trick with both WWE superstars. Morgan also had to give up her position among the cast of the movie due to a recent shoulder injury. This injury already cost her the Women’s Tag Team Championship, but now it’s snatched her opportunity to excel on the big screen as well.

AEW star Toni Storm quickly filled the vacancy by signing a deal with the house.

While it’s no doubt Flair and Morgan’s addition to the movie would give extra volume to the ongoing buzz, we sincerely hope both marquee wrestlers will soon end up in another bigger project.
