Cody Rhodes is all set to complete his story in WrestleMania by becoming a world champion. And while Seth Rollins wanted Rhodes to face him, Roman Reigns challenged ‘the American Nightmare’ to square off against him in his promo for tonight’s edition of SmackDown. And Rhodes did respond to the offer by coming to the ring and sharing his thoughts on Reign’s ‘Hollywood title’.

He expressed his desire to win that championship, but not at WrestleMania, as he believes that there’s a better opponent for the tribal chief. A guitar riff theme music hits, and WWE fans are blessed with the appearance of the most electrifying man in all of sports entertainment, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

In tonight’s edition of Smackdown, Cody Rhodes appeared in the ring to address the ‘Tribal Chief’ who, incidentally, responded to Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins by mentioning that the World Heavyweight Championship was the title of the losers because that Seth is second best in the WWE, not the best. Although the winner of the Royal Rumble each year makes a decision about which champion to face, in this case, Cody ‘The American Nightmare’ commented that he consulted with teammates, friends, and family and that they encouraged him to pick up and finish the story with Roman; however, he set the tone for The Rock to arrive because he was one of the people he spoke to these days.

As expected, The Rock made his appearance in the ring and hugged Rhodes, who smiled and left. ‘The Peoples Champ’ stayed in the ring and without saying a single word confronted his cousin in what was an intense staredown between the two.

With this segment, WWE has made it clear that it will be The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. The Rock making his way to the ring while Cody Rhodes walking out signified how Cody is walking out of the idea of him facing Reigns at WrestleMania, and now we can be assured that it will be him and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.

And though the Rock did not take to the mic to have a word with his cousin, the intense, cold-blooded stare-off between the two is enough to show the fans how they have to be buckled up for a spectacle at WrestleMania as the Brahma Bull takes on The Tribal Chief.
