Brock Lesnar made his debut in the WWE on March 18, 2002. Quickly establishing himself as a heel, he went on to have a monstrous semi-winning streak against The Hardy Boyz. This established him as a dormant force in the WWE, which fans liked.

However, the turning point for Lesnar into The Next Big Thing was in August 2002 when Lesnar beat The Rock at SummerSlam for the WWE Undisputed Championship. This made him the second-fastest winner of the title. The lead-up for this began with 2002’s King of the Ring tournament. This solidified Lesnar as a threat in the WWE just 5 months into his debut.

Paul, on the other hand, had a different rise to the top. He debuted on April 2, 2021, as a guest of Sami Zayn. His in-ring debut was on February 21, 2022, as The Miz’s tag team partner against Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Paul and The Miz won, with Miz turning on Paul post-match.

After signing with the WWE at SummerSlam 2022, Paul faced The Miz for the win. His next feud would be against Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. This mirrors Lesnar’s rise; however, Paul did not win at Crown Jewel 2022. In all matches, Paul established himself as someone who was athletic and could keep up with WWE stars. Who had the best rookie career?

When looking at the rise of both stars, you have to remember that Lesnar had multiple matches to establish himself as a dominant force. Lesnar faced The Hardy Boyz, Bubba Ray Dudley, Booker T, and Rob Van Dam before facing The Rock for the Championship win.

Paul, on the other hand, faced The Miz twice before Reigns. Paul won his first title belt at Crown Jewel 2023, which was the WWE United States Championship against Rey Mysterio. This clearly shows Lesnar as the winner. With more opponents faced and a constant win streak, Lesnar has had one of the best rookie careers in the WWE.
