Rey Mysterio is without question the greatest luchador wrestler in WWE. Over the years, the Biggest Little Man of WWE has collided with stars that have towered over him. Nonetheless, he has proven why he is one of the best high flyers in the wrestling industry. That said, the former World Heavyweight Champion recently had a touching moment with his old foe, Seth Rollins.

Considering the fact that the duo had a harrowing rivalry in 2020, fans were touched to see The Visionary pay homage to the WWE Hall of Famer. 

Seth Rollins heaps praise on Rey Mysterio during a house show

Seth Rollins’ grisly rivalry with Rey Mysterio in 2020 saw the former severely damage the eye of the wrestling legend. During one of their gut-wrenching encounters, Rollins jammed Mysterio’s eye against the corner of the steel steps at ringside. Subsequently, Mysterio’s eyeball popped out of its socket. However, the duo’s recent interaction in the ring was a heartwarming sight.

At WWE’s House Show in Monterrey, Mexico, Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Dominik Mysterio. After the match, Mysterio was in the corner of the ring while Rollins lauded the Luchador in front of the latter’s home country fans. 

He said, “He’s the greatest luchador of all time.” Rollins then got down on one knee and said, Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, and for everyone else in the history of this business. We love you. You’re the best.” The duo then embraced in the middle of the ring, eliciting a very loud cheer from the capacity crowd. 

Interestingly, when Rollins was involved in his infamous rivalry with the legendary luchador, Dominik was still a babyface. However, times have changed as he has grown to become one of WWE’s most loathed heels.

Nevertheless, the WWE Universe was intrigued after watching the uplifting moment between Rey Mysterio and the workhorse champion of Raw.

Despite being inducted into the Hall of Fame, the 48-year-old is still active in the ring. In fact, he recently won the fatal-four-way US Championship invitational match. The next week’s edition of SmackDown will see Mysterio take on Santos Escobar in a one-on-one match, the winner of which will ultimately challenge Austin Theory for The United States Championship at SummerSlam.

As for Seth Rollins, he is gearing up for his grudge match with Finn Balor at the biggest event of the Summer. Anyway, fans were delighted to see Seth Rollins praise Rey Mysterio. Here are a few reactions on Instagram.
