Roman Reigns has been in his seventh heaven carrying two title belts on his shoulder since dethroning Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. While Reigns fell short to attain the tag team gold at Night of Champions days ago, it barely did anything to the Undisputed WWE Universal champions’ glory. It’s because the tribal chief is on the verge of celebrating his historic 1000 days of his title reign as an undefeated champion at tonight’s SmackDown.

The victory celebration might also include a special surprise for Reigns in the form of a new WWE Universal Championship. Despite all the skyrocketing achievements Roman recorded in history over the past few years, there has been a wave of criticism regarding him for being a part-time champion who doesn’t care to put his title on the line frequently. Well, he doesn’t even need to according to WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.

Booker T has been widely known for his in-depth analysis of happenings under the company ring. The former WWE superstar, from his valuable experience as a former WWE star, thinks it’s perfectly okay for Reigns not to defend his title every week.

To justify his point, the WWE veteran brought up Hulk Hogan’s example, who used to do the same thing during his heyday in the company.

During a recent interview, the Hall of Famer addressed Hogan’s similarity with Reigns. The 58-year-old noted, ”Go back to the Hogan. Hogan didn’t defend the title all the time. Hogan defended a pay-per-view Saturday night’s main event, and that was it. Sometimes he didn’t even show up for TV for a month, didn’t know where he was and he showed up. It was a big party because Hogan was their God-man.”

He advised fans to just enjoy the show instead of digging too deep to find right and wrong in everything every time. ”let’s quit trying to you know look too deep into the show guys you know let’s try to enjoy the show from an outside perspective,” he added.

But guess what, not only fans, but the new Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins also possesses the same kind of mindset about Roman Reigns.

The 37-year-old noted, ”We needed a prize to fight for since our Universal Champion wants to keep his part-time schedule. So we gotta have a title. I was more than thrilled to have it. I’m more than thrilled to be the guy to usher in this new era, an era of change.”

Rollins previously stated that he has zero respect for his SHIELD brother as a champion.

However, for now, we need to see what awaits Roman Reigns at tonight’s SmackDown. Is it a new title or something more interesting?
