Sometimes, it becomes difficult to stay away from making personal assumptions about your colleagues. In such a case, the surface side of one’s personality is what defines them the best. The wrestling industry is not so different from the rest of the world in this aspect either. Assumptions form based on how a person behaves in his or her workplace. And it looks like Brock Lesnar didn’t have the perfect image at his workplace.

Several years ago, when Lesnar worked at OVW, Jim Cornette was his senior. Due to certain issues, Cornette wasn’t a fan of him and considered him a “meathead“.

Why was Brock Lesnar considered a ‘meathead’ by Cornette?

An old audio clip of Jim Cornette has been going viral. In the clip, Cornette revealed the time he threatened The Beast Incarnate. The main reason behind the same was that Lesnar didn’t pay attention to what Cornette’s wife Synn had instructed him before picking her up for a kayfabe ‘Press Slam’. This angered Cornette, who was a senior to Lesnar at OVW and he went on to threaten him.

Apart from this, the former WWE employee also suggested that Lesnar had a habit of respecting those in authority but degrading those whom he considered inferior to him. Since Cornette didn’t like Lesnar’s ‘college jock’ personality, he also saw him as someone not very intellectual.

I recognize his talent, and I recognize his athletic ability, but we used to call him ‘Block Lesnar’ down here in OVW for a reason cause he’s a meathead, and I don’t like him as a person,” said Cornette in the podcast.

Despite what Cornette said about Lesnar being a ‘meathead’, Paul Heyman once revealed how The Beast Incarnate had a significant amount of control over WWE’s creatives.

Is Brock Lesnar actually a ‘mastermind’?

In a podcast, a while back, Heyman talked about Lesnar’s time in OVW. There, he also confessed how Lesnar had an incredible say in backstage decisions. The Beast Incarnate’s match didn’t get over until he considered it over. This power came with its own set of pros and cons. Lesnar’s ‘advocate’ also mentioned that if Lesnar had decided himself victorious, then no power in the universe could have stopped him from winning.

This points toward the creative influence that Brock Lesnar must have had in WWE.

The Wise Man did not expose whether The Beast Incarnate still possesses these powers. But it seems like Heyman’s story automatically disagrees with Cornette calling Lesnar a ‘meathead’.
