Big Championship Match Could Possibly Be on the Table for Brock Lesnar After Finishing His Rivalry With Cody Rhodes

Around January this year, Brock Lesnar was involved in a feud with Bobby Lashley. Their rivalry got more intense as Lashley eliminated him in the 30-men Rumble match. During the match, he also had a brief confrontation with Gunther. It started with an intense stare-down, followed by both stars throwing hands at each other.

The segment received a loud pop from the crowd, hinting that fans are interested in seeing the two wrestling juggernauts collide inside the ring. In fact, the reigning Intercontinental Champion also is interested in going one-on-one with ‘The Beast Incarnate’.

Gunther wants a match against Brock Lesnar

‘The Ring General’ recently was a guest on My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast. During the show, he commented on his brief yet intense interaction with Lesnar at the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match. He stated he enjoyed the segment, as well as the reactions that it got from the crowd.

He said, “That moment with Brock [Lesnar] was all I needed. I don’t think we needed to have lots of action going on with him, like getting into a little scuffle and stuff. I think just the moment and the crowd’s reaction for that, that was all I needed.”

He then talked further about the possibility of facing Lesnar in the near future. He expressed his interest to face The Conqueror in a singles match. The show host asked him how would he react if Triple H decides to book him against Lesnar. He stated he is all in on the idea.

This is not the first time he has spoken about facing Lesnar inside the squared circle.

‘The Ring General’ is a Lesnar fan

Earlier this year in February, Gunther confessed his desire to wrestle against ‘The Beast’ in The Rob Brown Show podcast. He revealed he has been following Lesnar’s WWE journey since the latter’s early days in the promotion. And he has always been one of his dream opponents.

He also mentioned that his wrestling prowess has always impressed him. Therefore, he would love to share a ring with his fellow WWE superstar. Currently, Lesnar is involved in a rivalry with Cody Rhodes. But there is a chance that WWE might book him and Gunther after the rivalry reaches its end.
