2023 is wrapping up for Cody Rhodes‘ with some incredible memory strips. The American Nightmare undoubtedly had a year worth looking back with a fair share of highs and lows. Although he jumped ship to the WWE ring even before the start of this year, his real push came earlier this year after being pitted against the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

Although it didn’t work as planned for Rhodes and didn’t deserve to go to history as a happy memory, the build-up event to that day was well done. The Royal Rumble 2023 was a big highlight moment for Rhodes he ensured the ticket to his ultimate dream through a staggering win in the 30-men competition. The unexpected yet incredible alliance of Cody Rhodes and “Main Event” Jey Uso had been a big talking point in the WWE World for a while. Their firm friendship and in-ring chemistry helped them to lift the World Tag team titles at Fastlane, although the reign remained short-lived.

However, what caught even more eyeballs was their flawless banter during a post-match press conference after WWE Fastlane. The interview was full of hilarious, unconventional moments, incoherent tangents, and various exclamations. Throughout the whole interview, The American Nightmare was visibly struggling to maintain his pompous exterior and had an amusing time. “I’d say though maybe an underappreciated gem… was the post-match press conference at Fastlane with Main Event Jey Uso. I loved it because it was unexpected. I always try and be polished and ready and straightforward when I do those press conferences but it was a lot of fun and I’m glad we did it.” he noted.

On the other hand, Jey Uso also deemed his union with Cody Rhodes worthy of the same importance and believes it to be perfect for healing from the fallout with his biological brother.

Appearing as a guest on WWE’s The Bump Jey Uso opened up on his highly hyped-up relationship with Cody Rhodes and how they have grown stronger bonds as friends ever since he came to Monday Night Raw.

He explained how much respect and love he has for the American Nightmare since they once worked together a decade back. That subtle sense of admiration culminated in a closer bond over time. Uso noted he had lost his brother Jimmy Uso in storyline, but gained another in the form of Cody Rhodes.
