WWE stars on the main roster have walked similar paths. Many of the current top stars were part of the developmental brand NXT before the company drafted them to Raw or SmackDown. Despite a similar road, not all experiences were the same. While some wrestlers could’ve loved their journey, others are not fond of their time at NXT. Becky Lynch could be counted among the latter.

The Man recently appeared ‘WWE After The Bell’ with Corey Graves. There, the two had a lot to talk about. One such topic was Lynch’s time on NXT. When Graves asked her about the same, Lynch had a shocking yet interesting reply.

Just like several other wrestlers, Lynch also had to go through the developmental stages of NXT. Although she had a decent run on the brand, she humbled herself on the podcast by saying that she wasn’t that great during her NXT days. Moreover, she also confessed to Graves, “I don’t know if I ever felt comfortable in NXT. From the moment I got on RAW, I felt way more comfortable than I ever did in NXT.” She feels like the reason behind it is that she was “always on the chopping block“.

However, putting aside her humility, Lynch also flexed the fact that, back in the day, she played many ‘crazy’ characters. This versatility was a result of her fight to survive as a wrestler. Although she believed she isn’t recognizable enough, ‘The Man’ surely played her part to the fullest.

I think that was a blessing because it never allowed me to become complacent or entitled. I always had to work and grind. And I think that’s what made everything better,” confessed Lynch about her NXT time.

Despite what her thoughts say about NXT, WWE could be planning to reintroduce Lynch to the developmental brand. There is no reason to worry, as she won’t be alone in this little quest of hers.

Could Becky Lynch be headed back to NXT?

Recent reports by Wrestling News Observer suggest that WWE is planning something new. It all started with the experiment they did with Lynch’s husband, Seth Rollins. The company recently crossed him over for a match in NXT even though he is a star prevalent in the main roster. Following the success it received, WWE wants to lay its hands on more main-roster wrestlers. The reports started by pointing out that Ronda Rousey is also on the list.

The reason behind this sudden shift in plans could be WWE believes this could bring up the ratings for NXT. Moreover, it could also result in new NXT wrestlers gaining more experience from the matches. So, even though Lynch, like everyone else, is not confirmed to return to NXT, WWE’s plan might be a solid one.

In the coming days, we might hear some official news too.
