Becky Lynch Calls Out Dwayne Johnson’s Cousin for Riding The Rock’s Coattails Ahead of Their Showdown on Day 1 Edition of WWE Raw

In a shocking turn of events, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was subtly referred to in the latest edition of Monday Night Raw. The war of words between The Man Becky Lynch and former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax took an unexpected turn when Dwayne Johnson and his cousins got dragged into it.

In an in-ring segment between Lynch and Nia Jax, the whole Samoan wrestling family was called out by Lynch. She stated, “Your entire existence here is built on someone else’s name. First, it was your cousins, then it was mine.” It looked like Lynch was referring to the massive popularity of various Samoan pro wrestlers in recent times.

The current feud between the two started after Lynch’s old clip from 2018 resurfaced again. In the clip, we saw Jax attaching Lynch leaving her with a broken nose and a concussion. While the in-ring story shows that the two are still at odds, on a personal level, things are pretty confusing between the two, to say the least.

Back in 2018, SmackDown’s Women’s locker room invaded Raw’s locker room attacking the dealer stars of the red brand just ahead of the 2018 Survivor Series. During this moment Jax attacked Lynch, giving fans the iconic moment. Talking in an interview about how she felt after it, Jax stated that “horrified.” She even apologized to The Man. However, Lynch shrugged it off saying that it might help her in the long run.

While Jax tried to clear off things between the two initially, the in-ring fight made its way outside the ring. Months after the incident, Lynch took shots at Jax on an episode of Raw, where she compared the Irresistible Force with a toilet. Jax did not take this comment lightly and she took to social media to condemn her for her actions. This, however, was the start of a serious rivalry.

In 2022, Jax was answering some questions from fans as she held a Q&A session on her Instagram. When a fan asked her about her relationship with Lynch, Jax stated that she doesn’t have a good relationship with anyone from WWE.
