Bad News for Rhea Ripley Ahead of WWE Payback as 5 Former Foes Gang Up Against Her

Rhea Ripley is currently the Women’s World Champion and one of the best heels in the company. With her dominating in-ring presence and cocky and bold attitude, the fans love her. However, along the way, she made many enemies who, ahead of the next PPV event, are ready for some Payback.

Ripley has crossed the likes of Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, and many more. Now, thanks to a social media post, there is a team-up of her former foes.  

Raquel Rodriguez could be returning with backup

Raquel Rodriguez and Ripley have been teasing a heated feud for quite some time now. Ripley attacked Rodriguez ahead of her Women’s Tag Team Championship match. This cost Rodriguez and Morgan their belts. The injury Rodriguez sustained put her on the bench for a while now. However, on social media, Ripley’s former foes posted something that should concern Ripley. 

Indi Hartwell posted a picture of NXT War Games IV from December 2020 from her Twitter account. This event was where team Candice, including Candice LeRae, Toni Storm, Dakota Kai, and Raquel Gonzalez, took on Team Shotzi, including Shotzi Blackheart, Lo Shirai, Ember Moon, and Rhea Ripley. The caption of the post read, “We got your back @RaquelWWE.”

During her time in NXT, Ripley crossed these women, and now it looks like they are ready to back up Rodriguez. During the run-ins Rodriguez had with Ripley, LeRae came to Rodriguez’s aid. Ripley, the dominant heel in the women’s division, has gained a ton of heat from the other wrestlers. However, with Dominik Mysterio on her side, she always comes out on top.

Since her interference with Rodriguez cost her the Women’s Tag Team Championship, fans have been waiting for the big blowout. Unfortunately, she has been out of action, even missing SummerSlam. The upcoming PPV Payback could see the hotly anticipated match, judging from the last encounter they had on RAW.

Hartwell’s post shows that the women’s division has had enough of Ripley’s reign. With Dominik by her side, Ripley has a better chance of winning the matches she’s in, but now it looks like the odds are evened out with Team Candice on Rodriguez’s side. Dominik and Ripley share a kayfabe relationship, and the two are extremely tight while working together. 

When Rodriguez attacked Ripley on RAW, Candice came to Rodriguez’s rescue while Dominik took care of Ripley. The two shared a tender moment before his main event match against Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Shinsuke Nakamura. The Judgment Day always has each other’s back, as seen from their post ahead of the event, but Rodriguez isn’t facing Ripley alone this time. With help from Ripley’s former foes, Rodriguez could potentially pick up the win at Payback.
