There are many ways to utilize social media for a celebrity. Some use it to promote their work. Others use it as a tool to connect with fans directly. But for John Cena, social media is not any of the above. Instead, Cena has two distinct personalities on different social media websites.
On Instagram, Cena is goofy and comical, posting memes and hilarious videos for his fans. But on Twitter, Cena’s tone is entirely shifted as he usually only posts advice about life. A recent post from Cena worked as glue for his followers to stick to Twitter instead of the new alternative by Instagram called Threads.

John Cena’s advice works as a magnet for followers for sticking to Twitter
Recently, Cena posted a piece of advice for his followers on Twitter. He wrote, “Work hard to minimize wasting the words “I love you”.“. While usual procedure, this specific tweet came out after the launch of Instagram’s Threads, which was released on July 6th. When the app came out, many people hopped onto the platform. But it seems like many of Cena’s 14 million followers are still here on Twitter.

Threads is building its rapport quickly whereas there are bugs and errors occurring on Twitter every week. While we don’t know what will the public favor more, we can safely say that Cena’s tweets like these always get people’s attention whether it is on Twitter or Threads.
But that’s not to say that everyone enjoys these tweets. UFC Legend Chael Sonnen has, more than once, berated Cena in his tweets filled with advice. On the other hand, other celebrities have praised him or agreed with him about a certain tweet.

These fan reactions might differ in interpretation, but one thing is certain. Until celebrities like John Cena don’t leave the platform, there is no way that Twitter is dying, as some people believe.
