Kevin Owens kept on feuding against Roman Reigns and The Bloodline while trying to bring The Honorary Uce Sami Zayn out of Roman Reigns’ kingdom. Finally, Zayn took on the side of his long-term friend to fight Reigns and his henchmen, The Usos. The battle ensued in the famous SoFi Stadium as the fan-favorite duo broke the supremacy of The Usos to become The Undisputed Tag Team Champions at the main event. It also marked the end of an arc for The Bloodline Saga.

Throughout the 20 years of their wrestling history, Owens and Zayn have become good friends. They often give reference to their past meetings during their promos as well. Hence, it is safe to say that they are friends in real life too.
