LA Knight has had to defend himself time and again recently. The main reason behind the same is his gimmick. As fans and wrestling legends believe, Knight’s wrestling character appears to be a copy of ‘The Rock’ and ‘Stone Cold’. This struck a word battle between Knight and a WWE legend that went on for months. Right when things seemed to calm down, Knight took another shot, restarting the feud.

During last to last week’s SmackDown episode, Knight called out Kevin Nash, trolling him for a slip-up he had in his past. Even though the internet has already had its share of fun with the mistake Nash made, Knight couldn’t let it go easily without talking about it. And now, angry, Nash has succumbed to the insult, firing back at the WWE star.

During the 8th September recording of SmackDown, Knight was trying to feud with The Miz. He started off by singing his theme song, “I came to play“. With this, he remembered this one time in 1996 when Kevin Nash confidently called the word ‘play’ to be an adjective, even though it’s a verb. So, after all these years, the American wrestler recalled the WCW moment saying, “If I was a complete moron, I would ask people to look at the adjective, but since I’m not a moron, I’m going to look at the verb.” Kevin Nash caught hold of the live footage and talked about it on his Kliq This podcast.

During the podcast episode, Nash explained how during his days in WCW, they didn’t have proper scripts as they were too busy giving WWE tough competition. So, according to him, his slip-up should be excused. By the end of the topic, he also flexed his ‘original’ personality while calling out Knight for his copied gimmick, “I’m in the Hall of Fame twice, both times as Kevin Nash. He’s LA Knight. What the f*ck is LA Knight?” The WWE legend further added, “Anything he can steal, he’s on it. Nothing original, certainly.

Through his words, it’s clear that Nash still hasn’t come to terms with the belief that the wrestler lacks originality.

Even though the feud might have fired up again, there was once a brief time of peace between the two personalities. Let’s look back at the ironic situation that is now in front of us.

The ceasefire moment between the two men didn’t last a long period. However, it was loud enough to be noticed. The reason behind the same was the fact that the Hall of Famer himself had apologized to the 40-year-old. For all the things that Nash had said to the WWE talent, he took them back because of the pressure from the internet.

Nash took a U-turn regarding his thoughts on LA Knight because of what his viewers had bombarded him with. Everybody told him to acknowledge how big of a personality ‘Eli Drake’ was becoming that even ‘Google Trends’ had stats to verify this. Succumbing to the pressure, Nash publicly apologized to the wrestler. But now, the ceasefire has been lifted as the two are engaged in a virtual feud yet again.
