On the latest episode of SmackDown on December 1st, the newly crowned US Champion Logan Paul announced an 8-man tournament to announce his next opponent. Kevin Owens was one of the 8 participants. He fought rookie Grayson Waller for the #1 contender spot. However, during the match, Waller attacked Owens’ hands which may have caused an unfortunate injury.

Owens suffered the injury on his right hand. It is a common injury that is often caused by falls, or direct impacts. Despite winning the match, it will cost Owens any further participation in the tournament. WWE is yet to announce a further replacement for him though.
