Amidst Being Paired With Brock Lesnar 5 Years Ago, Paul Heyman Foresaw a Remarkable Prophecy That Became a Reality

In its 40 years of existence, WWE has had various alliances that have stood the test of time. Like the partnership between Dwayne Johnson and Mick Foley, famously called ‘The Rock n Sock Connection’. Then we had ‘The Brothers Of Destruction’, The Undertaker and Kane, who laid waste to whoever came in their way.

But there is one such alliance in the WWE right now that has been in existence far longer than the previous 2 we mentioned. 5 years ago, Paul Heyman made a prediction that came to fruition in the last few years.

5 years ago Paul Heyman predicted the meteoric rise of a superstar

Paul Heyman is best known for being the manager of Brock Lesnar in the early 2000s. His trash talk while promoting Lesnar gained him notoriety among WWE fans. He was the very person who first announced to the world that Lesnar is ‘The Next Big Thing’.

He has had 3 associations with Lesnar during his 20-year career and the last one finally ended in 2020. Post that, he formed an alliance with Roman Reigns calling himself his ‘Special Counsel’. But 2 years prior to that, he had already pitched the idea to Reigns and also the world that he would become the new ‘Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Champion’.

And that prophecy, as everyone knows, has become a reality as Reigns is currently the longest reigning WWE Champion of this era with 1079 days. And as Heyman’s association with Reigns gets stronger, fans only hope that one-day Reigns will become the longest-reigning champion in the history of the WWE.

But as Heyman continues to be the ‘Wiseman’, Reigns also needs to be wary of Heyman because as seen in the past, Heyman has been known to be a ‘Snake In The Grass’.

Paul Heyman has betrayed Brock Lesnar and CM Punk in the past

If there is one person who you definitely shouldn’t trust in the WWE, it’s Paul Heyman. During his time in the WWE, he has formed multiple alliances and betrayed his partners countless times.

It started with Heyman ‘doing the dirty on’ Lesnar in 2002 at Survivor Series which cost him the WWE Championship against The Big Show. He later teamed up with CM Punk only to stab him in the back at MITB thus preventing him from winning the shot to a championship.

Then in 2020, he joined forces with Roman Reigns as his ‘Special Counsel’ but as things were not going well, Reigns fired him from the position. Post that in 2022 he aligned with Lesnar again, but as betrayal is in his blood, he again let down Lesnar’s trust. At Royal Rumble, during Lesnar’s match with Bobby Lashley, he handed the title over to Reigns who attacked Lesnar, costing him the title. Thus aligning with Reigns and their union has stayed intact ever since.
