However, in some cases, the symptoms of brain damage remained under wraps. However, they start to pop up years after surviving those in-ring hazards. WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase, unfortunately, apprised the world that he is one among them.

The Million Dollar Man used to be among the most reputed stars of WWE’s Golden Era. The 69-year-old garnered immense praise for being a part of the infamous Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant feud. Following a six-year illustrious career in WWE, Dibiase hung up his boots early in 1993 to lead a more comfortable life outside the squared circle. But that remained a dream as he still pays the price of his in-ring exploits during his heyday.

DiBiase recently disclosed his short-time memory loss issues during the latest episode of his podcast, ‘Everybody’s Got a Pod’. Unmasking his buried health complications, the former Hall of Famer noted, ”I’m dealing with this, this is legit. I don’t have Alzheimer’s and I don’t have dementia but they said, ‘Ted, you have something, we just simply call it severe brain trauma.”

”What it affects is my memory and they say it’ll be easier for you to remember something you did 40 or 50 years ago but the short-term memory, some of the stuff right now, it’s bits and pieces.”. The veteran pointed out how his million-dollar career took a toll on his cognition.

However, it didn’t come out as a shocker to Dibiase as he was well aware of the consequences of the strenuous schedule he follow during his time in the promotion. Above everything, the legend feels grateful that he’s still going strong, dealing with all the difficulties. ”But again, I thank God I’m still here.’‘, the 69-year-old concluded.
