Wrestlers often portray a persona in-ring and fans sometimes believe that this is how the wrestler behaves in real life too. A lot of fans actually believed The Undertaker’s ‘Deadman’ gimmick. But all said and done, these are just things done to entertain the audience.

But some wrestlers take their bad boy image home as well. As in the case of two-time Hall of Famer Ric Flair, who accumulated 86 speeding tickets that almost got him in jail.

Fans know the Nature Boy Ric Flair for his illustrious wrestling career, during which he was a 16-time WWE world champion.

Such a Herculean feat definitely seems like something no mortal can ever achieve. But while his in-ring achievements made him seem like a wrestling God, his antics outside the ring were that of a mere reckless human.

On a recent appearance on the ‘Full Send Podcast’, Flair explained how he almost avoided going to jail. He said, “I got arrested one time and the reciprocal agreement had just gone into effect with different states. I had 86 moving violations in two years. The judge put me in jail for 30 days,so i appealed to the superior court for habitual speeding and they only fined me $25 and so they let me go but i thought i was going to sit there for 30 days.

In another incident that took place in 2005, The Nature Boy was involved in a road rage incident. He physically attacked the driver and also ended up damaging his car.

WWE used this incident to its advantage as Flair was already feuding with Rated-R Superstar Edge at that time. Edge mocked Flair by pretending to be him and driving a car. He even wore a gray-haired wig and a shiny pink robe.
