When Brock Lesnar made his debut in WWE in 2002, his formidable presence was enough to strike fear in the hearts of his opponents. Lesnar’s first appearance on WWE TV saw him destroying Spike Dudley and Al Snow during a hardcore match. Right from the gate, the company pushed him as a main event talent and dubbed him “The Next Big Thing”. While Lesnar is still dominant, he may have to surrender his Ruthless Aggression moniker to another star.
The star in question is none other than Rhea Ripley. The SmackDown Women’s Champion left the fans gobsmacked at Night of Champions when she made quick work of Natalya. At WrestleMania 39, Ripley defeated “The Queen” Charlotte Flair in a riveting match to claim the SmackDowm Women’s Championship. At this juncture in her career, Ripley’s indomitable wrestling career is being compared with Brock Lesnar’s heyday.

The Eradicator has without question proved herself in WWE since her debut on the main roster. Today, Ripley is the cornerstone of WWE’s villainous stable, The Judgement Day. On Twitter, the WWE star retweeted wrestling interviewer Steve Fall’s tweet that said Rhea Ripley is the Next Big Thing. Considering how far she has come since her main roster debut in 2022, the statement is veracious.
Much like Brock Lesnar, Rhea Ripley won the top title in the women’s division in her rookie year. The 26-year-old Australian wrestler defeated Asuka on Night 2 of WrestleMania 37 and claimed the Raw Women’s Championship three weeks after her debut on Raw.

Rhea is not only a threat to the women’s locker room but also to the men’s division. Ripley has previously dominated an inter-gender match against Japanese wrestler Akira Tozawa. All things considered, the moniker Next Big Thing, on Rhea Ripley is no misnomer.
