After Silently Promoting Barbie and Oppenheimer, John Cena Makes 20 Million People Nostalgic with a 70s Classic

It’s not John Cena, it’s “John Cinema” now. The ‘Franchise Player’ of WWE has fully ventured into the world of Hollywood. While the world is discussing Barbie and Oppenheimer, Cena silently promoted both films in one of his typical Instagram posts. However, after promoting current movies, the 16-time world champion took his 20 million fans to reminisce about a 70s Hollywood classic.

The 46-year-old recently shared a poster of a most successful 70s film starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, who is also famous for his role in Pulp Fiction.

Recently the WWE legend starred in a Barbie movie in a small role everyone loved. Moreover, he also promoted the film along with Oppenheimer through his Instagram. But recently he shared the poster of a 1978  Hollywood classic, Grease.

John Cena’s Instagram has made a separate fan following. Recently he posted a poster of the Grease movie starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. This post, following the current Barbie and Oppenheimer post, made the fans nostalgic.

 A fan even commented, “JOHN CINEMA!! First he rubs all over Oppenheimer now he’s rubbing all over John Travolta (a fellow John!) from the movie Grease! A cult classic! Once more, it is soooo fantastic to be this early!! Have a great day everyone 👍🏼”

Grease collected $366 million at the box office and was made with a budget of $6 million. American musical romantic comedy was both critically and commercially successful and the highest-grossing musical film at the time.

The 1978 film also had a sequel, Grease 2, released in 1982. Furthermore, a short-lived prequel television series, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, debuted on Paramount+. Also, a prequel film, titled Summer Lovin’, is currently in production. Clearly, Cena knows to surprise his audience, and this was also evident by his look in Barbie.

The 16-time world champion played a unique role in the Barbie movie, which nobody thought of. John Cena plays Merman Ken in the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer film. 

A few days before the release the makers of Barbie decided to release a picture of Cena’s look from the movie. It really surprised fans to see him as Merman.

As of now, the Fast X actor is busy with several movie projects and yet he made time to appear at Money in the Bank. As much as he loves WWE, he loves Hollywood and his recent Instagram post reflects it.
