Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since her last match against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam 2023. Since then rumors have been swirling around her future with WWE, with many pointing toward an exit for the former UFC Champion. After disappearing once again, she emerged during the Lucha VaVOOM Area 51 event. But now, it seems she is on a hiatus again, but a permanent one.

Recent reports suggest that the multi-time champion has left WWE once and for all. Even though WWE didn’t make an official announcement regarding this, the official website will answer all your queries.

Ronda Rousey’s journey with WWE ends for now

Reportedly, she had made up her mind to exit from the company soon after her SummerSlam match on 5th August 2023. However, due to the lack of an official update, several fans were waiting for her to show up at one WWE show or another. Now that it has been a few months since her last appearance, the official WWE website answered all the questions that fans had regarding her absence from the promotion.

The pro wrestler’s profile is now appearing on the ‘alumni’ section of the official WWE website. This suggests that she has left the Stamford-based company completely.

WWE played a kayfabe move where they placed Jey Uso in the ‘Alumni’ section too, after he left the promotion because of the storyline. However, this time things are different because Rousey has already announced her arrival at PW Revolver’s upcoming event in California, LA on November 16th. This suggests that she has moved on from WWE for good.

Even though Rousey didn’t directly talk about why she left WWE, her past comments may indicate the reason behind her exit from the company.

WWE merged with UFC to form TKO. Now that both of the places she has worked with are under the same roof, The Rowdy One had more opportunities than ever before. Despite all of this, the 36-year-old still decided to leave WWE because she had two priorities. During an exclusive interview with The Sun on June 10th, Ronda Rousey revealed that she wants to focus more on her Hollywood career and become a bigger actor than she already is.

Moreover, she also exposed her wish to become a mother for the second time and also mentioned that her WWE schedule is stopping her from doing that.

Even though she didn’t speak publicly about these two things again, these could be why she walked out of WWE in the first place. Some would argue that she is still lurking in the pro wrestling industry. But this might be because she wants to be her own boss by performing on the independent circuit as she showed up for an impromptu tag team match with her friend Marina Shafir against Brian Kendrick and Taya Valkyrie for Lucha VaVOOM’s event in Los Angeles.
