After His Series Clinched 94% Rating on Rotten Tomatoes, John Cena’s 20 Million Audience Bring His Popular DCEU Superhero Cosplayer Into the Spotlight

John Cena’s Instagram page follows a very interesting rule. The WWE icon-turned-Hollywood star is known to post photos without any captions. While some of these are perplexing ones, others include pictures of his admirers. Cena recently took to Instagram to post a very intriguing photograph featuring a dedicated fan who had embraced the art of cosplay to emulate Cena’s iconic DCEU superhero persona.

The sixteen-time World Champion has undeniably carved out a sure-fire Hall of Fame career in wrestling. John Cena is currently doing very well in Hollywood. In fact, his recent action movie just hit a milestone, garnering appreciation from WWE. But one of his more notable performances in Hollywood is in the series, Peacemaker. 

John Cena acknowledges his fan’s tribute in epic Peacemaker cosplay

Although John Cena has been featured in major franchises, his role in DCEU’s Peacemaker stands out. The role demonstrates Cena’s versatility beyond the squared circle. In addition, the series was a big hit. It garnered 94% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics. Cena landed the role after playing Peacemaker in Suicide Squad 2, with James Gunn taking a shine to him. 

Taking to Instagram, John Cena posted a picture of a devoted fan who goes by the ID ‘groppitron5000′, who honored the WWE legend by embodying the Peacemaker character through cosplay. Naturally, the fan was on cloud nine, as he posted a reaction to Cena’s post in his Instagram Story, expressing disbelief and stating, “No big deal. John Cena just posted my Peacemaker cosplay on his personal insta. I’m fine,” with a flushed face emoji. 

The fan nailed the Peacemaker cosplay, meticulously recreating the character’s distinctive look. Cena’s gesture only goes to show that he is always watching his fans.

The HBO show concluded its first season in February. The first season featured a total of eight episodes. But there may be more news coming, as James Gunn recently gave an update about the future of Peacemaker.

It’s no surprise that James Gunn admires John Cena for his work in the movies. Aside from being a brilliant actor, ‘The Cenation Leader’ is also a very likable person. Having said that, you can bet that Peacemaker Season 1 was not the last we’ll get to see of John Cena. 

While speaking with Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, James Gunn relayed that Peacemaker 2 will be coming back soon. However, it will not happen until Gunn wraps up Superman: Legacy. However, Gunn confirmed that right after he is finished with Superman, he will get after the HBO show. 

At this point, we can rest assured that the patriotic and quirky vigilante will make his comeback soon. We will have to wait and see when the commencement of the production of the show takes place.
