MJF’s future at AEW has been a bit hazy for the past few weeks. The main reason is that fans are not clear whether the wrestler has resigned with the promotion as was rumored. Denying the rumors, Friedman has seemingly confirmed that he is about to become a free agent whenever his contract with Tony Khan‘s wrestling company expires at the end of 2023.

Although there are not many reasons pushing him away from AEW, he considers himself a businessman who would sign with the highest bidder. And it appears that his current workplace might not be suitable to his desires.

Will MJF leave AEW soon?

The “Silver-tongued Devil” has risen as a top wrestling talent inside AEW. However, he has already made clear that his loyalties lie wherever he can get the desired paycheck. Now, in a new podcast episode from SI Media, MJF revealed that he has not yet re-signed with AEW either.

Friedman claimed that he never lied about not signing a new contract with AEW and called out fans for ‘leaking out’ information that they want to become the reality. MJF closed the topic in the podcast by saying, “I love AEW, I wanna stay in AEW. After this pay-per-view (Worlds End), it’s time to assess the situation for a professional setting. So… not yet.”
