On Twitter, a fan who is known for his wrestling video game videos tweeted out a picture from AEW Fight Forever. In the photo, we can clearly see that the title of Cody Rhodes’ character ‘Happy Birthday’ was written. This coincided perfectly with the real-life birth date of Rhodes.

This made for a great way for AEW to showcase their new wrestling game and also nod to one of the most crucial people from their past. Even though Rhodes competed in the main event of this year’s WrestleMania, as well as two more PPV main events, some fans still wanted to see him in AEW.

While Tony Khan and the others must have called him to wish Rhodes personally, this was heartwarming and also great for marketing the game’s unique quality. But let’s see if it worked with online fans.
