During the 2014 shooting of Dwayne Johnson’s mythological film Hercules, several crew members fell victim to layoffs. The entire film revolving around the Greek demi-god was shot under secrecy, and Johnson’s physique was kept confidential.

However, as crew members broke these policies, and mandates and clicked pictures, the producers found it better to keep them off the job. He once claimed, “I would say maybe close to 50 people were fired – crew members – all trying to sneak pictures. So there’s that. There’s mandate, and we all agreed on that.”

However, on the other side, it was Dwayne Johnson himself who tweeted out the pictures of his look from the film. While the producers and the studios wanted to keep it a secret, Johnson wanted them to trust his social media activity and found it better to reveal the look himself.

The Jumanji 2 actor committed himself to the 2014  mythological film and underwent a massive transformation. After completely changing his physique, he also wore a false beard that was unfortunately made using the pubic hair of a yak.

During an interview with Conor O’Brien, he revealed this piece of information. He stated that his makeup artist revealed the news, and it shocked him to the core. The soft texture of the hair called for the use of this particular beard material.
