This year’s biggest WWE event, WrestleMania 39 is about to take place shortly. WWE Universe is pretty excited to see their favorite superstars on the grandest stage. But in between all this, WWE SmackDown women’s champion Charlotte Flair stepped forward and raised an important question about the favoritism towards men in Vince McMahon’s company.

Charlotte Flair raises a big question before her match at WrestleMania

Lately, Charlotte Flair appeared in the show ‘Out of Character’ by WWE on Fox. There she raised a big question about giving more importance to male superstars than female ones in the company.

Not only Charlotte, but the ‘Baddest Woman on Planet’ Ronda Rousey and WWE legend Trish Stratus has also pointed this out before. During the show, the host asked Flair if it frustrates her that there is no guarantee that she will be main eventing Mania, this weekend. To this Flair hesitated a bit and then she raised a question.

She said that whosoever holds the title in the men’s division and wins the men’s Royal Rumble, usually gets the main-event spot, but for women, it’s not the case.

Talking to the host, Charlotte Flair said,  “How do I word this politically correct…..I understand that the best story should close the show. I understand that. But does the men’s title and whoever wins the men’s Royal Rumble are they always guaranteed a main event spot? ‘99.99% yes’………So the women, last year, last minute didn’t happen.”

Not only this, but the WWE SmackDown Women’s champion also pointed out why she wants Ripley vs. Flair to main event WrestleMania 39 day one.

Why does Flair want to be in the main event, this year?

Further in the interview, Charlotte Flair said that this year, the main event depends upon the ‘story vs importance’ aspect. Clearing the fact that she would be very happy if the tag team championship would close the first night, Charlotte explained why she wants Ripley vs. Flair to headline the ‘Mania.

The champion said that If we look at the storyline point of view, then the tag team story just took a year to build, while the Rhea-Charlotte story has been three years in making.

Flair even mentioned that she doesn’t believe that anyone deserves to be at the main event rather she looks at it from a factual point of view. According to the champion, if the men’s Royal Rumble guarantees the main event then the women’s Royal Rumble should also do the same.

I’m just saying if you look at it from a factual standpoint, whoever wins the men’s Royal Rumble…..they’re always 99.99999999 the main event. I’m just talking from the standpoint for the women. Well if they’re guaranteed it. Why is the women’s Royal Rumble not?”

Before this interview, WWE Universe was certain that Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair are going to headline day one of WrestleMania 39. However now, it is yet to be confirmed which match will close out the WrestleMania 39 Night One action.
