It is not unusual for pro wrestling stars to have a passion for different sports. Commonly known examples are Dwayne Johnson and Seth Rollins, who have a love for American football. But fans were in a bit of a shock recently when they saw 14-time World Champion Charlotte Flair at the latest game of the Philadelphia 76ers.

At the latest game of the Philadelphia 76ers against the Washington Wizards, The Queen of WWE attended as a guest. She was introduced as the 14-time World Champion alongside praise on how she changed the game of wrestling. Following this, the second-generation star rang the bell and initiated the game between the two basketball teams.

The WrestleMania star is not the only one who has been spotted at a game. The Arrogant Aussie Grayson Waller is also known for his love of American football. Apart from that, AEW star MJF had a somewhat similar opportunity but in a different sport. In September of this year, he had the opportunity to have batting practice with his hometown team, the New York Mets.

Even though it might feel like it was all out of the blue, Flair happens to have a long-standing relationship with sports.

Considering that her father is the legendary Ric Flair, fans have assumed that the young Ashley Fliehr will walk in her father’s footsteps. However, that was not the case for her as the younger Flair was interested in many other sports apart from pro wrestling. During her high school, she was one of the best volleyball players in North Carolina. She won two state championships in the years 2002 and 2004 and was even named the Conference 4A Player of the Year for 2004.

Apart from that, the 37-year-old star was also active in basketball and competitive cheerleading. This made her a gifted all-round athlete. Partaking in multiple sports helped her develop the extreme athleticism that keeps her going in the ring today. Even though she never envisioned herself as a WWE star, she joined the NXT division back in 2015.
