Over the years, Paul Heyman has changed the stature of a wrestling manager in the business. From being a manager to an Advocate of Brock Lesnar to The Wiseman and The Special Counsel of Roman Reigns, he has surpassed several previous wrestling managers.

Shockingly, while praising ‘The Tribal Chief’ recently, the 57-year-old took a shot at a legendary wrestling figure who was a manager too. Fans weren’t too happy about Heyman’s comments and reprimanded him on social media.

Recently appearing on Stephen Smith’s First Take, Heyman gave his thoughts on WWE legend Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. The former owner of ECW called himself the GOAT and gave a curt reply to the NBA analyst when he brought up Heenan’s name for comparison. Heyman’s reply was, “Screw him, he’s dead!”.

Wrestling fans consider Heenan to be one of the best managers in the business. He was known for his skill in elevating villainous on-screen talent by drawing negative reactions to himself and his wrestlers. In other words, he was one of the best heel managers. It’s no wonder why fans didn’t like Heyman berating the deceased legend in this manner even in kayfabe.
