There are many WWE associates who are massive fans of the other sport, even more than their core one, in some cases. However, former WWE superstar Eric Bischoff is not one of them, at least as far as NASCAR is concerned. The 67-year-old was not really a fan of NASCAR. While he doesn’t particularly dislike it, but somehow fails to connect with it.
WWE and NASCAR had teamed up several times throughout the years, with WWE events and superstars being a part of the paint jobs on cars. That being said, one of the key WWE personalities revealed that it’s hard for him to engage in the sport whatsoever.

Obviously, the disconnect came with a couple of reasons. During the recent episode of Strictly Business with Eric Bischoff, the former RAW General Manager detailed those underlying reasons.
He noted, ”It’s not that I don’t like it or not appreciate it. It’s just that I am not engaged with it. Part of the reason I am not engaged, it’s hard for me to become engaged I can’t fall in love with a car. Especially a car on the truck except for its painted different colors and has different logos all over it. And then when the driver who is the one element of that picture the driver gets out of the car he’s pasted in logos and wearing a hat and I don’t know.”
Bischoff continued, “You could have the greatest NASCAR drivers in the world walk up to me and you probably wouldn’t recognize, the average NASCAR fan he might recognize them but you don’t see you see them in their helmets obviously they have to wear them you just get their hats they got logos on it..”
However, he admitted that ‘it’s a billboard, and it’s a very profitable billboard, the NASCAR business is built on that billboard.”
Despite not having that much affinity with the sport, the former WWE legend once had an exciting experience with NASCAR driver Kurt Busch.
Eric Bischoff shared his wild experience with a famous NASCAR driver
When Bischoff was in Florida, he used to cover the Daytona 500 every year. It was a fun experience for the veteran. During the event, he once shared a ride with prominent NASCAR driver Kurt Busch around Daytona International Speedway at the insane speed of 180 miles per hour.
Bischoff noted he used to identify the helmet-headed driver merely by their sponsorships. However, getting close in person with Kurt Busch made him believe he was an ‘Eminem guy’ underneath the helmet.
